PARTY FOR MORE HUMANITY
(Working version)
- Genetics
Genes are personal property, capital and most private Information. The basic right for informational self-responsibility and the own judgement of rest risks must be kept up.
- Criminalistic retrieval and storage of genes is allowed only with an explicit agreement of the involved person or when the person has been proven guilty of most severe crimes like rape or murder already.
- Mandatory labelling for genetical engineered food, based on the technical detection limit.
- Releases of plants and animals with a high spreading potential which cannot be brought back must stop.
- Video cameras
Video cameras are inhumane and anonymous. They also allow misuse and concentration of power because nobody knows where the data is going and how long it is saved on tape.
For a more humane society I demand:
- Total ban of video supervision in public places. Instead patrols in civil should be used more.
- Video supervising in companies with more than 10 employees and marginal values of goods like supermarkets and libraries have to stop.
- For small shops under 10 Employees which cannot afford shop detectives or security label systems, an exception rule may apply for a limited time.
- Intensive information and campaigns against shop thievery and boycott of companies with camera supervision.
- Where extremely high values are at stake like banks, jewelers, art galleries etc. may video supervision remain.
- Also video supervised with total transparence for the citizens should be military camps, gene laboratories, gene testing areas and animal experimentation labs since here exists a tremendous potential for misuse.
- Movies and Copyright
A movie is something sacred like a book or a piece of music, nobody would have the idea to advertisement breaks to an opera event.
- Stringent guidelines for digital editing. This is only allowed for restoration purposes and improvement of picture and sound quality.
- Prohibition of all alien elements in movies, pictures and music like ads, TV logos, copyright notices, digital watermarks and subliminal addtions.
- Founding of a control association which can detect movies, graphics and music with alien elements in the Net and may force their removal.
- Creation of copying stations which can for an adequate fee download movies or music from archives, convert them into any user specied data format and burn them on CD or DVD.
- Who owns originals on an obsolete data medium must not be banned. He must have the means to convert the data with the help of special converting companies into newer formats, for example record to cd or VHS to DVD. This service needs perhaps to be subsidized.
- Unadequate fines for illegal copies have to stop.
- Campaigns for moral obligation for the Shareware system. Crippleware and mandatory ads in software are an annoyance which has to be prohibited.
- Free opinion building
- Supporting balanced discussion and advertisement methods.
- Teaching of "discussion ethics".
- Prohibition of methods of buying votes like food stalls or handing presents at political information stalls.
- No propagation of subliminal influence for non-medical purposes.
- Detection of subliminals in pictures, music and programs.
- Exchange of literature and software for this topic.
- Creating a catalog of fines for subliminal manipulation against the own will. The evidence must always be provided by the searching person to prevent power concentrations.
- Against rip-offs
Everything which scares potential customers and makes them to go somewhere else, weakens retail trade and must be avoided.
- Reduction of rip-offs with radar traps and police women patrolling parking places. Creation of free parking places with gates for people who want to park only for a short time.
- Total removal of mandatory safety belt and helmet. Instead higher insurance fees for people who cause an accident without safety belt.
- No more fees to enter sales fairs or to offer items in internet auctions. The customer must not pay for the right to buy something.
- Book series which start to appear as pocket books must always be continued as pocket books, too. Changing to Paperback or bound books is only allowed when pocket books appear at the same time.
- Complete removal of the annoying safety coins in shopping carts and lockers. Rewarding instead of punishment, for example a small amount of money which can be collected only once per day and person.
- Animal- and Human protection
Animals and humans have the right (not the duty!) of bodily integrity and a honorable death.
- Circumcising, piercing, tattooing and similar irreversible acts must wait until a child reaches the age when it can make its own decision about it, it must not be pressed in any way. (Who has already read "Roots" may know that circumcising of adults is common in some cultures, so you will also have more from it :)
- Aid to suicide of old and sick humans can be justified if the affected person demands it with a clear consciousness and documents it several times in the presence of witnesses.
- Shocking torture museums for tourists and descriptions of torture in literature, including academic literature, have to end. Humans don't need extra lessons for this subject.
- Violent mutilations of animals like truncations of fingers, horns, genitals or tails have to be punished with severe fines. Chirurgical or medical sterilisation can be justified if the circumstances do not allow to raise cubs in adequate conditions.
- Triple tax for dogs with intentionally cut tails.
- Also to ban are tattoos, ear clips, microchip implants (I want a pet, not a cyborg!) and especially the barbarity of "Branding". Colour marks or radio neckbands may be alternatives.
- Active electro torture like cattle prods, teletac neckbands and especially the neanderthal method in agriculture and zoos to mistreat the genitals of animals with electric shocks to force an ejaculation have to be punished with most severe fines.
- I want to add here a few words to the artificial insemination with frozen sperms. There are hints that freezing can damage body and mind of the fetus (GID). So it may be better to bring the living animals together or at least use only cooled, not frozen sperms.
- Supporting of adequate animal keeping. Less killing of immature animals. Old and sick wild and tame animals can be used for nutrition, but it is necessary to watch out for quick and humane slaughtering without long transports.
- Supporting of adequate transport. No more transports in windowless crates and trailers.
"Cruelty against animals is one of the most typical characteristics of an inferior and dishonorable nation."
Alexander von Humboldt.
- Nature protection and Nature use
Nature is for all people! And only what you learn to know can be protected.
- Unlimited access to nature protection areas unless rare species are damaged in specific cases. In impassable terrains like swamp or dunes log paths should be created. Sealing of certain areas like breeding places of birds can be justified for a limited time.
- Collection of common species is allowed in nature protection areas, too. Instead more care for the preservation of biotopes and biotope condition will be applied.
- Bicycling on main roads where Hunters and Rangers can drive their big cars is allowed.
- Stronger teaching of responsibility and knowledge of species in hunting and forestry.
- More dialog between gardeners, foresters, hunters and all people who are involved in nature protection. Active renaturations in agricultural deserts.
- It can't be accepted that the responsible persons use all nature as succession testing areas. Erection of signs about neophytes in sensitive biotopes, people who remove such plants need not to be punished, if not even rewarded.
- Punished on the other hand should be all people who still carry their garden wastes into the forest, despite green bins and green deposit places. This is one of the main sources for the introduction of ecologically disastrous species.
- Who lets his dog run freely in the nature has to remove its dirt, since this is an annoyance for other passengers and overfertilizes the ground in sensitive biotopes. In common forests and agricultural areas it may suffice to bury or cover the dirt.
- Social works for shoplifters, environment polluters and other asocial beings as an alternative to money or prison penalties. Minor crimes can be rewarded with the opportunity to pick up the garbage in the forests, this also gives the cleaning squads the chance for guided excursions. More serious crimes or repetitive crimes can be punished with more unpleasant work like emptying garbage bins or cleaning public toilet.
