Sometimes mentioned under the newer name Pseudorchis, this orchid can be found mainly in the hills and lower mountain regions. Sometimes it grows together with Nigritella and occasionaly bastards can be found.
It has forked bulbs and small white or pale yellow blossoms. P. Albida can grow on various types of soil. Besides two subspecies, ssp. straminea and ssp. albida, another Leucorchis species, L. frivaldii is known, which grows on wet mountain meadows in the Balkan countries.
Container culture of L. albida in a Sphagnum/peat mix is possible, I have no info about outdoors culture. Probably it can be cultivated like Nigritella.
