Needless to say that I've never enjoyed this method very much. I came to the college due to my love for computers, especially my Apple II and I was filled up to the ears with tons of highly specific and for practical purposes mostly useless theory. I have never learned any programming there except the mandatory courses in Modula, Lisp and 32-bit assembler on a simulator (!). Everything else, including C and HTML I've taught to myself. Same for the biology stuff, which I have kept as a hobby.

The german colleges are cheap, but also very bad. Their purpose is not to give information but to hide them from the students, to keep them busy and to reduce their numbers in tests, no matter with which methods. Furthermore, almost all professors have an oversized ego and greed which prevents them from delegating the work which they don't like (teaching) to teachers and assistents. Ever asked yourself why there are so few colleges?

This left me in an unpleasant situation with high mobility and not much time in the examination periods, not good for plants.

"Well, hello my Captain of Vogons Prostetnic, and how are we feeling today?"

The Vogon captain told him that in the last few hours he had wiped out nearly half his crew in a disciplinary exercise.

"Well, I think this is perfectly normal behaviour for a Vogon, you know? The natural and healthy channeling of the aggressive instincts into acts of senseless violence."
