EPIPACTIS LEPTOCHILA
E: Narrow-lipped Helleborine
F: Epipactis a labelle etroit
G: Schmallippige Stendelwurz

Green is the color of this orchid. Green are the blossoms with an unusually pointed lip. Green are the stem and the broad leaves, which are similar to Epipactis helleborine. Both species are closely related and sometimes E. leptochila is called a subspecies.

But the blossom has a different shape and unlike E. helleborine, it can pollinate itself.

E. leptochila has a very strong mycorrhiza and it can grow in the darkest lime beech forests with it. This makes it not suited for culture.
