A rare orchid which can be found with much luck in wet meadows and swamps with little nutritive substances in south and middle Europe, north Africa and west Asia.
This species has one row of white blossoms twisted around the stem. The leaves are long and thin.
This species seems to prefer neutral or acidic soil. It can be cultivated in a bed with Sphagnum and peat which should always be kept moist. It can multiply vegetatively, but it doesn't grow well from seeds.
